The name is Classic Blue after all and it is a fun way to add a pop of color to your space. While you may not be ready to dive head first into blue cabinets in the kitchen, you can still add some fun moments with items like a classic blue area rug in your entry or a blue throw on the sofa.

Extend the Olive Branch It seems every year we have a new “hot plant” and 2020 is no exception. This year everyone is talking about the olive tree. Not only does the olive branch symbolize peace – a great sentiment to have in your home, but the deep dark leaves will add a beautiful contrast to the white walls we’ve all been incorporating into our homes over the last few years. If the idea of having an actual tree in your home feels a bit overwhelming, don’t worry. When potted, olive trees come in a dwarf variety that only reach 6-feet.

Make it Macrame There was a point around 2018 when we thought macrame was on the way out as a home decor trend. But fiber artists came back with a vengeance and proved us all very wrong. Nothing says hello spring like the beautifully soft fibers while the visually intriguing patterns turn these otherwise simple woven pieces into true works of art. Hang a large tapestry over the sofa or grab a few macrame throw pillows. A well-made piece has staying power and won’t go out of style any time soon, making it the perfect new accessory to liven up your home!
